My First Blog - Looking back at the beginnings

Wow,

it's been a long journey since I started to work on the "Travel and Draw" concept since as early as 2014. After 10 years, with this new website, I am finally able to present you the accumulation of all the work and travels I have done in the last 10 years, connected with a beautiful presentation and backed by highest quality products for different budgets.
Looking back, its been a real journey:

How It All Began in 2006

Let’s go back to a time when the internet wasn’t everywhere, and capturing good photos wasn’t so easy. As some of you may know, making a living from my art has been my goal since I gave up graffiti at 17—before I even started my studies at 18. The university recognized my talent and allowed me to skip the final years of school, which was an incredible boost. So, just days before my math and physics exams, I left school behind, excited to step into the world of art as a university student.

🤓

Last year of studies
this was in my Berlin appartment, 8 years later, apparently i had already finished the silk scarf collection, and wanted to make a coat or something? haha in the foreground i can see my first sewing machine- an ADLER, a full metal manual straight sewing machine that got boosted with a motor ^^
The Flatmates project

Around that time, we were all living together in a shared flat, and I really loved my flatmates—a group of wonderful Danish friends. We started this project where, every time we ate, we’d doodle on a large sheet of transparent paper that we’d placed in the middle of the dining table. After about two months of adding sketches across the whole 60x130 cm surface, the result was filled with intricate details and stories. It became an artwork in progress, and we were both surprised and delighted by what we had created together.

Inside the workshop
we went on to develop a screen with this magnificent "dinner drawing" all over print design. Of course we did it in the screenprinting workshop in my school, the KHB Berlin, also known as "Weißensee". They have the most amazing equipment, hence why i stayed there for 8 years doing my BA+MA in textile design.
The Result

So, here's the most professional photo of our collaboration i could take back then apparently. We proudly present the sidequest "dinner drawing design tshirt!" and also:
The Old Style

next we made some beanie with the printed fabric from the dinner table design. look my oldschool logo with the H and R intertwining as pens! also there was a swastika somewhere inside the messy dinner drawing design which got us into a situation with another designer later on 😆 no fun about these things in Germany guys!
The First BERLIN T-Shirt

And here we have the first prototype for the all over printed t-shirt. This design is actually the very first Berlin All Over Print I ever made, from 2014. it was drawn on small A4 size papers and assembled digitally.
Drawing in Paris and London

This was all in 2015, the same year when i went to draw Paris and London. For the First time on ONE BIG piece of Paper, and the beginning of a vey long journey that we are still on today.

Now that was a little bit of a story from the past as a first looking back blogpost. I hope it inspired you to keep doing whatever you love! Keep exploring and see you soon👋
