The story
Red brick towers over the Spree, since 1896
The Oberbaumbrücke links Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg across the Spree — and at the same time the former East with the West. With its red brick towers, it has been one of Berlin's most beautiful landmarks since 1896. It unites two districts that face off against each other every year in a vegetable battle.
