Description
Handcrafted Artwork on a Unique, Sustainable T-Shirt
This one-of-a-kind T-shirt combines high-quality materials with the raw, authentic energy of Berlin craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-dyed using an innovative process that repurposes residual inks from the artist’s studio, creating deep, layered tones of black and gray. These layers represent the accumulation of time and work, as each T-shirt absorbs traces of countless creative moments. Screen-printed and completed by the artist, it’s crafted on sustainable, Fairtrade-certified Stanley & Stella apparel, made from 100% organic cotton. This isn’t just fair fashion—it’s a wearable piece of Berlin’s story, infused with the artist’s own journey and the energy of a city that’s always in motion.
A Story of Time and Transformation:
The design, drawn on Berlin’s streets, is brought to life in my own studio, where i collect t-shirts that i used to wipe up excess color. I'm always thinking it would be a shame to waste it. And so, each T-shirt carries deep tones and textures, reflecting the layering of time and effort—a symbol of change, persistence, and in sync with the city’s evolving stories. Perfectly imperfect, each piece is crafted for those who value raw artistry and authentic, one-of-a-kind craftsmanship.
Each T-Shirt will be a bit different. If you want to know exactly which versions are in stock right now, please message me via mail to hello@heinerradau.de or click on the chat icon.

Care Instruction:
Handwashing your piece gently will of course last longer, but honestly who does that? If you are like me and use the washing machine, then wash it together with similar colours, inside out at 30°C. Definitely must use "COLOR" detergent, not detergent for white clothes! Besides, don't tumble dry - just let it hang dry.
This piece is already looking so rough, no matter what happens, it will always look amazing! :)

From his hometown to international hubs like London and Paris, Radau has immersed himself in diverse urban environments. His artistic journey has taken him to Southeast Asia (for example Vietnam and Laos in 2016) and Europe (Valencia, Brussels, Basel in 2019).
He drew 10 cities since his debut, and is adding new ones every year. For 30 days, Radau draws the busy scenes of these cities with a pen and ink, right on the streets. The daily diary-esque drawings add up on the paper and store the time and stories. They are weaving themselves together into an intricate pattern of black and white lines, pulsating with life and personal experiences from the city.
