A portrait of the city, drawn live on the streets — and deep underground — with pen and ink. No photos, no tracing: for several weeks I explored Munich with a folded 80 × 80 cm sheet of paper in my backpack, drawing on squares, in parks, in front of landmarks and in U-Bahn stations.
Iconic spots like the Eisbach wave, the Bavaria statue and Marienplatz meet personal discoveries such as the shipwreck beer garden Alte Utting, a hidden witch house and quirky cafés.

In every city I stay for weeks and draw live on the street. By now it's twelve cities – and a new one is added every year.
