Berlin's landmark on Alexanderplatz
The 368-metre Fernsehturm (TV Tower) on Alexanderplatz was built in the GDR between 1965 and 1969 and has been the tallest structure in Germany ever since. When the sun shines, a cross appears on the sphere — the so-called “Pope's Revenge”. From the viewing deck at 203 m you can see up to 40 km on a clear day.
